Welcome

Welcome to the website of St. Barnabas, Swanland - a Church of England place of worship.

St Barnabas is in the village of Swanland in East Yorkshire. The current, multi-purpose building was opened in 1992, and now serves the needs of over 200 regular adult members, and many youth and children, on Sundays and throughout the week.

We are often described as an evangelical charismatic church and we believe that Christ’s invitation is for all people. We have two distinctive styles of worship, one is quite traditional and the other is more contemporary and informal, but both are equally important.

Our vision is
to be a church family that shares Christ through friendship.
